Read Full ArticleThe Downtown Kansas City, Kansas YMCA was built in 1913 as part of the YMCA's growth across the United States. After the property fell into structural disrepair and closed in 2018, Riverstone was contacted to save the building and repurpose it as an asset for downtown. The property was placed on the National Historic Register and transformed into affordable loft apartments. Despite challenges created by the Covid Pandemic, the $16 million project was completed in 2024 and is currently 100% occupied.
Riverstone was hired to develop up to 190 units of housing to address the housing need for Tribal-owned facilities in the Broken Bow, Oklahoma area. The $28 million project, developed in partnership with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, required assembling an architecture and construction team in short order to meet the aggressive schedule set by the owner.
Linwood Gardens is a newly constructed 32-unit property designed to house families on the LAMP campus in Kansas City, Missouri. Financed with a mix of LIHTC, hard debt, and HOME funds, Linwood Gardens provides a safe place for at-risk families and youth while demonstrating commitment to the Ivanhoe neighborhood, for which LAMP has acted as the gateway for the past five years.
